(28th) Kirsten Bett

Hi, I'm Kirsten Bett, happily taking part in Wendy's Authorpreneur Accelerator Academy since the beginning of this year. I am a Dutch Kiwi, born in NZ, when I was 10 I got zapped to the Netherlands. I hated all the gutteral sounds and cold but, fast speed a few decades, now I love living in Leeuwarden, Friesland (the north of the Netherlands with its own recognised language and, no I don't speak it yet).

I have lived in New Zealand again. The last stint was 2007 - 2017. Wilma our cat went with my partner Wim and me. She also came back with us, how amazing is that for a cat that was found tiptoeing through the tulips when she was 9 weeks old and only weighed 99 grams...

I am writing a book from Wilma's point of view about our emigration to and from New Zealand. I love writing but have only published a few things in magazines and such. In New Zealand I worked towards a Diploma in creative writing from Whitireia Polytech. I also took part in the IOWA poetry workshop in Wellington. Since I have been back  in NL I have taken part in quite a few online poetry workshops of Kevin Higgens.

My next goal is to get my book through it's tedious second draft. And then get it published. This is why I joined Wendy's group. It is fantastic. Very motivating and hugely worthwhile. Now, with all the blogging and marketing and what not, I just want to need to find time to get my book done...

I have my own blog too. it's called Pondering Paws. I'd love you to follow me, and I'd love to follow you back.
